A review of values, transparency, and respect to transform organisational culture.

St John Ambulance Australia (NSW) is a not-for-profit organisation consisting of 200 staff and over 3500 volunteers, split into 80 divisions across all of NSW. In 2017, St John NSW embarked on a substantial change journey to ensure sustainable financial performance and a culture of integrity and ethics. They engaged Voice Project to conduct a review of the values, transparency and respect within the organisation. The review included surveys, interviews and focus groups examining the causes of conflict and dysfunction within the organisation, and delivered recommendations for how the culture, work practices and behaviours within St John NSW could be transformed for sustainable respectful ongoing operations. In 2019, after demonstrating significant improvements, St John was named winner of our “Change Challenge” Award. Watch them present their journey.
