Education Services Australia wins Change Champion Award
Education Services Australia (ESA) has been recognised as a Voice Project 2021 Change Champion for leading initiatives that achieve measurable and meaningful change in the workplace.
The national award from Voice Project celebrates ESA’s positive change in workplace culture, which showed a 10.5% growth through employee engagement surveys undertaken over the past two years.
ESA CEO Andrew Smith says the company is delighted to be recognised by Voice Project for its positive workplace culture.
“It is a testament to our People and Culture team for achieving such high engagement over the past two years, particularly while we have been faced with the challenges of the pandemic,” Andrew says.
Wellbeing has been embedded into ESA’s Learning and Development framework to ensure staff prioritise their health.
“ESA’s wellbeing program was ramped-up during the pandemic, focusing on supporting our teams through regular wellbeing sessions and frequent opportunities to connect as an organisation,” Smith notes.
Another area that revealed significant change within ESA was technology. ESA’s ICT team worked tirelessly to improve remote and hybrid working arrangements to help make organisation-wide communication and collaboration easier.
“We hired 65 new employees during the extended lockdown period and provided them with the equipment and support they needed to succeed and feel like they are part of the team. ESA staff supported and looked out for one another. I am grateful to be part of such a compassionate organisation,” adds Smith.
Voice Project says the award recognises ESA as one of the top change makers in the Small to Medium category (200 staff or less), with only a small number of their clients meeting these criteria.
